Privacy Policy - Vigil Pro

1. Overview

Vigil is a deadline tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, where data is stored, and how optional services such as notifications, widgets, exports, iCloud sync, and in-app purchases work.

2. Information stored by the app

Vigil stores the deadline information you enter, including:

title and category
expiration or due date
notes you add
reminder settings
archived status

By default, this information is stored locally on your device.

3. iCloud sync

Vigil Pro can optionally sync your data across your devices using Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services. iCloud sync is controlled by you inside the app. If enabled, your deadline data is stored in your private iCloud account so it can be synced across your devices.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, Vigil schedules local reminders on your device for the deadlines you choose. Notification content is generated from your deadline data and is used only to deliver reminders.

5. Widgets

If you use the widget, Vigil stores a limited set of upcoming deadline data in the shared app group on your device so the widget extension can display it. This data stays on your device.

6. Exports

If you export your deadlines as CSV or JSON, the export file is generated on your device from the data already stored in the app. You control where that exported file goes after sharing or saving it.

7. In-app purchases

Vigil Pro is offered as a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. Vigil does not receive your full payment card details. Apple provides purchase, transaction, and entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

8. Data collection and tracking

Vigil does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not collect analytics or marketing data through the app, unless this policy is updated to say otherwise.

Vigil does not request access to contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, or health data.

9. Data retention and deletion

Your local app data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, synced data may remain in your iCloud account until removed from the app and propagated through Apple's sync services.

10. Children's privacy

Vigil is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.
